The breeder, Family Bred Puppies (FBP), certifies that the puppy you purchased is in sound health at the time of sale to the best of our knowledge and has been given all vaccinations and wormings stated on the vaccination record provided to the Buyer(s). We do our best to provide the new owner with a healthy puppy.
We cannot control the exposure your puppy encounters after leaving our care. Puppies sometimes stress when they are adopted and moved to their new home. This stress can be brought on due to the move, change of diet, too much handling, not enough quiet time, or not eating properly. This stress can also bring on things which are dormant, such as but not limited to; worms; ear mites; colds; hypoglycemia and/or coccidiosis; and/or giardiasis. These conditions are all treatable and do not warrant a replacement. There is no guarantee on the color or size of puppy now or as an adult.
The Buyer(s) will be responsible for:
Further vaccinations and boosters.
Fecal check within 48 hours of receiving puppy (fecal samples can be dropped off without an exam
appointment - FECAL SAMPLE TEST MUST BE DIRECT FECAL SMEAR AND/OR FECAL FLOAT). Failure to do so will void ANY parasite/Giardia reimbursement as many cases of parasites/Giardia are stress related from the transition into a new environment, and, therefore, out of our control. Furthermore, the Giardia Antigen tests are only for antibodies and not live cysts.
In-person physical exam within 5 days (this can be done within 48 hours along with the fecal exam). + Buyer must feed "Joy Puppy Food" provided by the Breeder for at least the first 48 hours of feeding in order to receive reimbursement for any parasites/giardia.
Spaying or neutering the puppy at 1 year of age. Not earlier (we strongly recommend but do not require).
Taking good care of the puppy by providing adequate food, water, shelter, and regular veterinary care.
The following are NOT covered by this guarantee:
Reimbursement for transport of returns.
External parasites, such as ticks, fleas or ear mites.
Internal parasites/Giardia AFTER the required 48 hour fecal check, such as intestinal worms, or their effects (almost every puppy has some type of intestinal worms; although we have wormed your puppy regularly, it only takes a few days for him/her to pick up another “batch.” That is a part of puppy-hood, which is why a regular worming schedule is recommended).
FBP will not be responsible for any expenses the Buyer(s) may incur, including shipping and vet expenses.
Should the puppy develop health issues within the 1-year warranty timeframe:
The following stipulations must be adhered to in order for a replacement to be made or surgery to be paid for (up to purchase price of the puppy):

Buyer(s) must provide official reports from unaffiliated veterinarians stating that, without a doubt, the puppy has a genetic defect that will cause a shortened life-span.
The reports and contact information for the vet must be sent to Family Bred Puppies.
If the puppy should die, an autopsy MUST BE DONE by a licensed veterinarian stating the cause of death. The documentation must be forwarded to FBP before a determination of replacement will be made.
FBP reserves the right to confirm the diagnosis with a veterinarian of their choice.
This warranty applies only to the original buyer for a puppy replacement or credit for a future puppy only.
We have bred this puppy based on sound stock. Through proper diet, proper exercise, and quality living conditions, you will play an important role in helping your puppy grow into a healthy adult.
I, the Seller, do hereby agree to a one (1) year genetic warranty on this puppy.
